More from our day off!

So, can I just say that I love days off during OTS!!! It was great. In the morning, I visited the BX (military shopping center) to get a hair cut and pick up a few things I needed. In the afternoon, our flight went to a BBQ restaurant. I got the "BIG DADDY" pulled pork sandwich which was sooo GOOD!

There was a gelato stand at the BX so I bought some grapefruit flavored! Gelato is so good and this was no exception! It was so smooth and the grapefruit flavor was awesome!

The two swords you see are the gift we are giving to our flight commander. We are "Echo" flight (E = echo) and so we nicknamed our flight "Excaliber" so we found the perfect gift for our flight commander. We got the sword tips engraved with a couple of his favorite quotes:

"Don't dork it up" and " kill people and break their toys!"

These last two posts were short because they pushed our two night fed exercise up a few hours and so I am rushed to get this done along with a few other things! This exercise is basically a mock deployment in which we will be staying in military tents on a mock mini base where we will likely be woken at absurd hours of the night by mock mortar attacks! Till tuesday!
